Disability in Palestine
Currently getting glutened by something and idk what. Or my intestines are permanently revolting against me. Idk.
I always think about the people of Gaza when I eat or drink anything nowadays.
I especially can’t stop thinking about the people in Palestine who have celiac disease, Crohn’s, IBS, colitis, food allergy, food intolerances, diabetes, hypoglycemia, alpha-gal, iron deficiency anemia, feeding tubes… the list goes on.
And those who need medication to survive. Asthma, COPD, diabetes, hypothyroid, autoimmunity, high blood pressure, heart failure.
The people with spinal cord injury who need catheters. The ones with pacemakers. The ones with cancer. The ones on dialysis.
The blind, deaf, and intellectually disabled who can’t get their communication needs met.
My heart breaks. Over and over. And over.
