Beloved Bisan
Bisan, the reporter and storyteller in Gaza who has been reporting the ongoing genocide, is now talking about her back issues, struggling with standing and walking, and explained how this has happened before, she needed medicines and rest. Medicines and rest are in short supply in Gaza right now.
I think a lot about how someone with my spinal injuries, celiac disease, asthma, and allergies would’ve survived this most recent siege. I don’t think I’d be alive today if I were in Bisan’s shoes.
My heart hurts for her, and everyone else. Especially for disabled and newly disabled Palestinians.
None of us are free until all of us are free.
